Life of a Reverted Muslim

"O believers enter into Islam completely and do not follow the footsteps of Shaitan, surely he is your clear-cut enemy. If you falter after receiving the clear-cut message, then keep in mind that Allah is Mighty, Wise. Are they waiting for Allah to come down to them in the shadow of clouds, along with the angels, and make His decision known? Ultimately all matters will be presented to Allah for decision"
(Surah Al-Baqara, Ayah 208-210)

CASE:Bro Faiz (Ipoh)

Brother Faiz and family lives in Rumah Pangsa Taman Harmoni, Buntong (in Ipoh). He is 42 years old, converted for about ten years now and currently unemployed. He’s a student of Ustaz Ali Chin for many years now.
from left, Mohd Al-Hafiz, Ustaz Ali Chin, Brother Faiz’s wife (Fadzilah) and son, Brother Faiz and daughter.
He has two kids, a son and a daughter (both less than two years old). Now he depends on odd jobs such as being a part time security guard / body guard or repair motorcycles for income, which is not enough to support his wife and kids.
Rumah Pangsa Taman Harmoni is under Dewan Bandaraya Ipoh, and he has to pay RM124 every month as rental. At the moment he has a debt of RM248 as he can't pay the rental for two months.
He has no transportation as the bank had repossessed his car. In case of emergency, he has to borrow vehicle (car or motorcycle) from neighbours or friends but only for a while. Recently, both his son and daughter had fever and he had no choice but to borrow a car from his neighbour to go to the hospital at 1.00am.
His friend has given him a job which involve cutting down trees and cleaning the aftermath for a piece of land. Unfortunately he has no chainsaw for the job. A reliable chainsaw is about RM800 but he has no money to buy the chainsaw.
Brother Faiz went to Jabatan Agama Islam, Baitulmal and Perkim for help but all of them said they had no money. Ustaz Ali Chin also went to all the offices to request for help for Brother Faiz but unfortunately he received the same reply, "no money".
With this job, Brother Faiz will be able to stand on his feet once again to earn money for the family.
“It would be better to teach me how to fish, rather than giving me a fish for the day”, he said, as Baitulmal offers RM50 for him when he visited the office. For some people, RM50 is better than nothing but the problem is people will keep coming back to Baitulmal for more (give them a fish for the day, so they will keep coming back for more fish).
We managed to raise some fund, which we presented to Brother Faiz on 3rd October 2011.
Please help support people like Brother Faiz. Brother Faiz is just one of the many cases we received. They need all the help they can get, morally and financially.
For those who would like to make a donation, kindly contact us at malaysia.reverted.muslim(@)gmail.com or bank in to Isninah June Mohd Yusoff (Maybank) 162106526898. All the donation received will be use mainly for welfare cases and dawah program. If you specifically would like to donate to Bro Faiz, please stated in your email so we will arrange for it.
Jazakallah Khairan & May Allah bless everyone.
